The Ele.com company in the Jinshan District of Shanghai released the first innovation in China. It is planned that there will be 17 new drone flight routes available in the Jinshan Industrial Zone. The drone will air in an area of 58 square kilometers and serve orders for 100 restaurants. For one delivery, it takes an average of around 20 minutes. This is faster than using a motor that takes 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Besides being able to be faster, the use of drones to deliver food can reduce costs. This is because using drones, their delivery staff only needs to run 15% of the route. This also means that with drones, at least the staff does not have to struggle with traffic jams which lead to driver exhaustion.
